While you are staying at Home Farm House, we want you to feel that it’s more than a B&B. We want you to feel relaxed, comfortable and welcome during your stay in Steventon.
You will find all our rooms have TVs, hairdryers and tea and coffee facilities, as well as WiFi access. You will also receive your own set of keys when you check-in so you can come and go freely during your stay. For the comfort of all our guests, we do not allow pets.
We receive lots of compliments about our breakfasts and we take pride in getting your day off to a good start. You have a choice of a continental breakfast or a cooked breakfast. The continental includes a large choice of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juices, toast, pain au chocolat, crumpets and raisin bread, a range of teas and coffee. This is included in your bed and breakfast rate. Our delicious cooked breakfast cost just £5 extra per person and they will really set you up for the day ahead.
You will eat breakfast in our beautiful dining room and you can also curl up in comfortable chairs in the evening. It is a lovely room for reading, chatting to other guests, watching TV or just enjoying the open fire in winter. You can also sit out in our pretty garden and soak in the tranquil village surroundings.
Many guests stay with us during the working week or while they are visiting nearby companies on business. Some guests stay with us for months or even years while they are working on projects on Milton Park, Harwell Research Centre (HRC), Williams Martini Racing etc. We can provide a laundry service for our long-term guests and we make sure we service your room at times that are convenient to you. At weekends and during holiday periods our guests often include people who are visiting the Chiltern region to meet up with family and friends or exploring the nearby historic town of Abingdon. Didcot is close by too and is a popular destination for train enthusiasts.
Home Farm House is an ideal B&B for block bookings for weddings and we’ve also had one couple staying for their honeymoon.
Guests in the Stables and the Annexe have their own small but well equipped kitchens. If you are staying in the main house you can use the microwave/convection oven in the dining room. This is a great alternative to eating out and the Co-Op in the village is a convenient place to shop for food.
Steventon boasts 3 pubs, The Cherry Tree, The Fox Inn and The North Star Inn. There is also The Blue Ginger (Indian restaurant) and Munchies (breakfast/café – daytime only). All have 4+ stars on Google reviews. You will find more pubs nearby in East Hendred, Sutton Courtney, Milton Hill and Harwell so there is plenty to choose from if you want to eat out.
