Peter and Melanie returned to the UK in 1999 after 11 years working overseas. Melanie saw Home Farm House in Steventon and immediately fell in love with the house. She made an offer to buy on the spot – without Peter seeing it at all. Convincing him it would be a wonderful family home was a relatively easy exercise. She told him it was a lovely house, on a village green where they played cricket and the village had four pubs!
We never bought Home Farm House with the intention of starting a B&B. However, with lots of rooms, a rear access for guests and outbuildings suitable for conversion, it seemed a great opportunity. Added to that, Steventon offers a perfect location for Oxford, being close to the A34, M4, M40 and Didcot rail station. There are also many businesses in the area and we welcome many guests who are visiting Milton Park, Harwell International Business Centre and NRPB at Chiltern as well as Williams Martini Racing, plus numerous visitors from overseas companies. Take a look our bed and breakfast accommodation and you will discover what we have on offer.
